This site is about sharing ideas. It is not about judging, trolling or harassing people. Only through open and honest discussion and debate is the body of human knowledge advanced. Much like the Socratic Method, only through questioning of ideas and the discussion that follows can true learning take place. But like the ancient Greeks, it is not about judging, but rather through purposeful questioning, that learning takes place.
Our society continues to become more polarized and filled with divisiveness. But it doesn’t have to be that way. We are all part of the human race. Our differences is what makes life richer. We all talk about diversity. While traditional diversity is certainly important, I believe it is diversity of thought that really matters. Why do we need more women and minorities on corporate boards? Not specifically because they are women or minorities, but because they come with a different perspective.
Paradigm – what is yours?
It is only by challenging our beliefs, by pushing beyond our comfort zone are we able to change our paradigm. In fact, the very act of understanding that we have unconscious biases and preconceptions about the world around us is the first step toward real growth. So join the discussion, open your mind and maybe your world perspective will become a little broader as a result.
